Very disappointed
I am very disappointed with the Hotel Manager and the Customer Service Skills. I made a room reservation for 26 April, 2019, The hotel manager got my Credit Card info and all. But somehow I gave them wrong date, it should be 27 April, instead of 26th. When I got there (after 10 hours of bus journey, I was too tired, hungry, thirsty..), The receptionist said, I should be there yesterday. But Nobody tried to call me for not being there. (normally hotels call customers, if they don't show up). But of course, he got my C.Card, As long as he got the money (I guess). He wasn't sure they can give me a room for that day (27th). I got so upset with everything, feeling helpless, and roomless (no room). He told me to hang around an hour, he will talk to other guy in hotel about it. I have asked where can I get tea or coffee or breakfast, the receptionist told me to walk to the market place 300 m away instead of offering anything. In a hour I went back to the hotel, they said, I have a room now and last night?s room reservation was all cancelled (no problem). I was happy after all. Just a small note; I apologized from them many times for my mistake regarding the date. But, all of a sudden the manger called and told them that I have to pay the night that I missed, 200 TL extra, the hotel doesn't want to lose money because of that. I was really in shock. I have called and talked to him also apologized regarding the wrong date, but he didn't care what I say, he only cared about money and I have to pay that amount. He was really aggressive on the phone, not welcoming, not nice at all. He acts like I am too guilty person. I got really upset and started my day (attending half marathon in Edirne that weekend) with sad and little mad face and mood. The people who worked there was very felt embarrassed and told me how sorry they are about his behave. Then I stayed and accepted to pay that. That night I called the hotel, Manager answered and asked about the hours of the breakfast, I said well I have marathon to attend, I wish it would be earlier than that, and he answered that with aggressive way, this is our schedule, we can?t change it. Another disappointment I have to put up with. Such a rude and impolite behavior instead of he can say: Mam, we may work on something for you, let me talk to hotel staff etc?or in a polite way he can say they can?t). With this attitude and skills, and only thinking about the money for them; I don?t see any success for the future. If they upset one customer like this, it may cause them to loose 100s and 1000s future customers. Plus, I have good relations with foreign people in Turkey and outside of Turkey and the social media regarding work and personal subjects.
